The town of Morges enjoys a privileged location on the shores of Lake Geneva opposite Mont-Blanc, between Lausanne (10km) and Geneva (50km), the two key business centres of the Lake Geneva region.

The area offers an entire range of activities: sport, nature, fine dining, theatre, cinema..., as well as a rich cultural life, with numerous museums and a fortified castle dating from the 13th century, which is home to the military museum. The old town of Morges and its large pedestrian zone offers markets, shops, restaurants and bars. Wine connoisseurs can also taste local Morges AOC wines. The ski resorts of Villars, Les Paccots, Les Rasses, Les Rochers de Naye and others can be found less than an hour from Morges.

Every year for six weeks, the Tulip Festival celebrates the return of spring. 150,000 tulips and 250 varieties appear in a park of 30,000 m2 – don’t miss it!

The Petit Manoir in Morges is situated a mere 200 metres from the lake. In summer, visitors are invited to enjoy water sports such as motorboats, sailing, windsurfing, pedalos, canoeing and kayaking, stand-up paddling, towed water sports – rubber rings and bananas, diving…

What’s more, the shores of the lake in Morges are enlivened by the dahlias along the quayside, where the 55-metre “La Liberté” is moored, the only Mediterranean galley on Lake Geneva. Built by the unemployed, it offers cruises to visitors.
